Founded in 1970, Western Digital is a global leader in computer, mobile and cloud storage. Headquartered in California, today it’s a multi-billion dollar company with over 76,000 employees. A few years ago, WD realized they could use some help communicating their brand to consumers around the world. Not an easy task.
We were to create a fresh, unified brand look and feel that would be approachable on a global level. Soon, the results were in. We developed a friendly and relatable visual identity for everyone from the tech-savvy to the not-so-tech-savvy. We used bright, bold colors to differentiate broad product offerings and created simple, straightforward ways to illustrate complex and abstract benefits. Doing this across all packaging and point-of-sale unified the brand in a whole new way.
